Ridin the quad 20 miles w/ honey on a cold january day! well this day...it wasn't that cold! Though today...it is only single digits! Hard to believe this...was last weekend! Enjoyed a lovely day out!

WV Scenes are sooo lovely!! Winter, Fall, Summer, Spring...what ever time of year! The beauty is amazing!!!

One of the trails we rode...we had a gorgeous day to enjoy in the forties in January!!! What ever season...you find yourself in...enjoy and take the time to get off the beaten path's...and see the beauty around!!

Tackle your New Year w/ No fear! Fear is the opposite of Faith. When we Fear more, we have faith less. To be double minded the Bible says, is to be unstable in all our ways...To lean toward faith one minute and fear the next, is double minded. Set your mind. to accomplish...that with which you're strivng for! And don't quit! We can re start! But don't quit! I think some folks feel like, well, I started that last year, and it didn';t work...but...re start it again...Its not in the re starting that is bad, its in the never tackling it again and being conquered by it! YOU...are More than a conqueror! over come! Dont' be...over come! Better Faith and better me! Physically, spiritually and emotionally and me! re building, re doing, a new year! 2012....is another chance at it! Start it w/ Prayer and in...Gods Word! RE...comitt to it...and STICK...to it! Build your spirit man up!! and your other parts will fall in to place! This is a fresh start to our new year. Write down your thots...journal them out...it helps us to see and feel what God is speaking to us! And then DO IT! I walked/tread milled FIVE miles again...but I DID IT! I started thru the Word...ahgain...but I'm doing it!! Keep on keepn on...and new years...no fears! Lots...to think about, but nuttn to worry about! The reason, I chose Washington: A Legacy of Leadership by Paul Vickery and Stephen Mansfield was for the most part because I felt that although I knew some about Washington as leader, I know very little about Washington the man.

Throughout the book, there are many lesser-known facts about Washington’s life based much of the book on original sources such as Washington’s own letters. He has seemingly viewed Washingtons life, in mostly in a positive light but didn't forget to offer of the mistakes he'd made in life as well!

Another point, that makes this book very interesting is the presence of a large number of pictures and illustrations depicting various events from Washington’s life and America’s history.

If you are a history buff or a biography lover, you will no doubt love this book, but if not, be prepared for a long read.

Love God, Hate the world...

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever." (1 John 2:15-17. We are in the world, but not of..the world. The world, can't get in to us...it's ways...manners, styles, words, thots...actions. If a boat is in the water, it's all good, but if the same water, starts getting in the boat, its NOT GOOD! When our lives, start taking in the world, it is NOT good either. We will sink fast, just like the boat...we cannot stay afloat that way! Too many times, Christians, try to have life both ways. Thinking they can have some of God and some of the world, and it'll all work out? That is only tragedy waiting to happen! When we have...parts of the world in us, we become like the world more and less...like the Father God. What you have the most of inside you, is what you are closest to! The Word of God helps to prevent the world from setting to far in to us! Keeping daily in the Word, helps to abstain, from the worlds passions, desires, and temptations. We can't do it without the Word, it is our strength and our guidebook. We also need a lifeline of prayers to God. NOT...just in trouble, but daily. We need to have the relationship with God that is not based on just when we need Him, we run to Him, but, in that we can't make it, without meeting with HIM! You can't go through your days, and never talk to God and expect to overcome this world. You must, have a relationship with Christ, that is so strong, you'd never want to let Him down. When we make excuses for excess baggage, instead of getting rid of weights that slow us down, they will be our demise. Excuses, are our way of saying, I'm ok with this and thinking that because WE are, that GOD is OK with whatever it is too. He is NOT ok, with sins, and once we know it's wrong, and do it anyway, it's sin. Lord help me to be more like you. Help me to be real. Its sad, that we are so many times, a bad billboard, for a Christian life and walk. When we SAY we love Him, we'll DO...what He asks, it goes hand in hand. Our love, equals our obedience. This world is only temporary, we are passing thru. Don't get attached to it, or its things! They glitter, they sparkle and they lure, but they are also poisoned. They leave you empty and feeling hurt and alone. It does not FILL you as only Christ can! Love God...Hate sin...it works, no other way. Oh but Lisa, I only do this or that, on weekends, or I just do this to unwind, or God understands, its not that...bad...all excuses for weights that slow us down. Run with endurance the race, and get rid of the things that so easily beset you. If God hates, it we should too. Don't play with it! Its not a game, its life, and could mean death...if you don't get real...with it all! Love God and HATE the world...it holds nothing for me! be blessed!

A picture...IS WORTH...???

They say a picture is worth...a THOUSAND...words! I think that's true, but even more! I love taking pictures of EVERthing around! Gods glory/ n beauty is everywhere, IF...we pay attention and look...around at it...STOP! And LOOK! We walk right by so much! We take for grantid...so much! Lord, help me NOT to! I don't want to see life...thru an ORDINARY LENS! I want to see...extra...ordinary! It goes by so fast, and we miss out on so much, if we don't like to bend over and smell a rose on the way! Capture those moments! CLICK...another moment in time! Click...another one that will never be retrieved! Think about it...LOOK AT IT...cause it won't be there like that, in a moment! Take a picture or two for the memory! (Or like me, a picture or a hundred of em!) LOL IT IS...worth a hundred words unspoken, in moments of time, when we stop and capture...those times! Don't hurry by today...LOOK...for that EXTRA ordinary piece of today...and SNAP it! hugs!

This life...is but a breath! God breathes in to each of our lives, passions and dreams to pursue along the journey! You might say, well how do I know, this is a dream, or passion, from God? I believe, that you feel it deep in your bones, the things you are actually called, by God towards! There are many of those directions in my life. Neat to say, God won't just give you one! Oh we may lean more toward some than others, but he places them in our hearts, souls, emotions. I heard it said once, that when your passion, isn't that any more, you've lost your course! Get back, to where what your dream was...is...your passion! We only pursue deeply....our passions in life. All other directions we go, may be mandatory, but this...a passion...is one that PULLS, or tugs...on us...and our heart strings!! Come on...you must...you can!!! You know those feelings! For some, its things we create, and design, for some, it may be a sport, for others, that passion, will be fufilled in their desire to help others in life! What ever your passion is, go after it, with all you have, with all your might! When we follow things with half of our heart, we will always wonder, what would have been, had we THRUST ourselves, more in to what ever it was! Life is short, and we only have that amount of time, on this journey called life. In our reaching, we want to see others lives touched and made for the better! It is most miserable if I've only attained, for myself! How cranky are those who gather, and hoard, the goodies, that passions have brought to them! I don't want to gain this whole world and loose my soul!! I want what I've done...to LAST! In Christ, our lives leave behind a footprint...thru our passions! It touches in to others lives, and should make them better, because we've shined Christ through! I encourage you today...to dream big, and go for what ever your passions are!! With all you are, with Christ in you...YOU CAN! Someday, all that will remain is an epitaph...what will it be, what will it say, who will remember? Don't take the blessings you've been given, the talents you have, and store them ...share them in to others lives! For when we do...we are blessed! Don't charge elaborate prices to do what you do, give it freely...and you'll be blessed! Don't take ...your passions for granted...use them...while you can...to SHINE! Matt 5:13-14

Faith to MORE Faith is a journey, NOT a destination...

We are on our way there, we haven't arrived. By Faith, takes us TO...our journeys end, which is Heavens home! Until then, we journey. By Faith...The Bible says, when we're saved, we're all given, A MEASURE...of Faith. Its like, here's a cup and here's what ya start with, NOW MAKE IT GROW! How do we GROW...our Faith? Well, it takes faith, but through Gods Word! Reading it, believing it, speaking it, and seeing it, come to fruition in our lives!! Its like planting the SEED of Gods Word and watching it TAKE ROOT in our lives, and BRING FORTH FRUITS! We can't give up, though many discouragements may come along the path. We can't give in, though trials would try to make us say its easier another way. Why....would we ever want to take hold of Gods hand, and let it go, to try another path? I'd rather, hold on, till the destinations end, HEAVEN! WE travel everyday of our lives. WE go from here...to there! Some journeys are short...and some, like when we traveled to TULSA from WV....are LONG! We knew we'd get there....we had Garmin leading our way! (We use our Garmins, like we should...use Gods word to direct our paths!) It seemed as though we were "blindly" following the Garmin? But, IT KNEW...the path. Just like Gods Word, may seem, like "blind" Faith, but, hold on...it will lead you in the safe path, the sure path, THE WAY, the ONLY way! See some folks feel that there are MANY ways, to get to Heaven...They say, "O I'm a PRETTY GOOD person". But being PRETTY GOOD, won't get you there, or Christs death was in vain! Its not by works that we have done, (so that rules out oh I'm a pretty good person, ) But according to HIS MERCY, He has saved me! They just want to make excuses to keep the lifestyles they have...oh one of this one of that won't hurt me, I can keep living this and claim I'm saved? No way, the Bible says we become...are made, are changed into daily, new creatures in Christ...CHANGE OCCURS IN THE CHRISTIANS LIFE! And its for the good! Blessings, follow! Faith is a journey....
Don't live short, dont' Fall short of all the blessings, THE THIEF, comes to steal kill and destroy.John 10:10..but CHRIST CAME TO GIVE YOU LIFE MORE! ABUNDANTLY, not just in Heaven, but NOW! don't think, it's all for Heavens gates, CLAIM, THE INHERITANCE NOW! Faith, takes you there! By faith!

You can tell alot, by what it looks like...Fruity!!

The Bible says, "You shall know them, by...their fruits..." You can tell alot by fruit, what kind of a tree it came from, whether its good or bad? And all that, by just looking at the fruit. In our Christian walk, you can also inspect alot of details, just by our fruits, we bring forth. Are we bearing forth life, or death? Are we showing that, of good, or evil? Some folks say, as soon as you say, anything about lifestyles, that you are being, so called, "judgmental". But, there is a big difference, between judging someone and just calling an orange the orange that it is! (If ya know what I mean!) A Christian, the Bible also says, is a new Creature in Christ, old things are supposed to have passed away, and according to 2 Corinthians 5:17 ALL THINGS are become new! Our walk, talk, behaviors, friends....It may not happen all overnight, but the process is there, and in the making. The sad thing, is when it's not...in the making. When people succumb to just "being" who they always were, or are. They make excuses and think God will too, for their life long behaviors! (And that is so not true!) I can't get enough of Christ in my life, as a Christian. I don't want to be a poor example of Christ. I don't want to be a fake. I want to be...who I should be! I want to be real, not a lie. If I say, I'm a Christian, I don't want to live like one on a Sunday. Or just go around saying, I'll pray for you, and thinking that makes me a Christian. (If that were true, I'd be a car if I stayed in a garage overnight!!) I know many who think, that one repetition of the Sinners prayer, some years ago at an alter, has forever bought their pathway in to the pearly gates, but its just not so. There has to be a change, in an individuals life! The Bible plainly declares so! You can tell, what it is, by what it looks like...Is it an apple? Well, how do you know that? Because it looks like an apple...It tastes like...an apple...It is no different for knowing, what or who belongs to the Lord! Heaven help us all...to live real! To not be a bunch of fake fruits! To let our lights so shine, so that this lost and dying world....can see the DIFFERENCE IN OUR LIVES!! Not the same nes, For Heavens sake! You can tell alot, by just what it looks and talks like...What it really is!! I'm not saved, because I prayed some old dead prayer some years ago at an alter, and now live my life like I want to drinking, smoking, cussing and what ever I so called want to do. No! I'm saved, because My life is changed...am I perfect, NO! Adamantly no! But I'm on the path, I'm not making excuses to stay...I'm trying to change...more in to the image of Christ!! What kind of fruit...is your life showing?? Are you real?? All things are made new...in Christ!! Be blessed.

Book Review - The Shelter of Gods Promises by Shiela Walsh

I really liked this book, The Shelter of Gods Promises! In it, Sheila Walsh, shares from her own experiences and shares from them, about the fact that God is always with us! That through His promises, we are protected in life's storms! Former 700 Club host, this is her most recent book. The promises she draws on in the book, focus on Christ, and how in Him, we are protected, in the cleft of the rock, we are safe in Him. That He will cover us, "In the midst" of it all.
     I really liked her relation of John the baptist, even though being beheaded for the cause of Christ, still devoting his life in entirety to Him! I think in thick and thin times, we all must come to a point of realizing, we'll serve the Lord, no matter what! Come what may, He is Lord! The promises in His Word, are our Shelter in the times of storm, and there will be those times!
      We as she says, are people not OF this world, trusting that His better place for us, will far outweigh the sufferings of this life, that we at times do face. That as we go through, we can cling to those promises, knowing He who promised is faithful! Learning that really, its more a when, not an if, to our going through struggles. I gain comfort from knowing, my Lord is always with me. That His promises are yeah and amen!
      Book sneeze provided me with a complimentary copy of this book, as a part of their blogger reviews program! I am thankful for that, as I really enjoyed this book and do recommend it as a strength to the Christian walk!
     At times, we may not all agree, with the author, but, her accounts were indeed quite inspired and touching! All we can do in this life, is cling to the promises of God, as our Shelter...in the times of storm!!

Thankful Heart Thursday!

Easter approaching, and I'm pondering in my heart, all the many blessings I have to be Thankful to God for! our very lives, so incredibly NOT...our own!! Touched...and weaved...by the awesome and amazing hand of God...we see it /HIM...personally and in our children, spouses, homes! My heart is so humbled at all God is and has done, and is doing! I know Him, and only want to know Him more! I want to encourage others as they journey...toward Him, and His amazing love!! Take a day, take today...and give thanks...for all you have! Sometimes we take things for granted...even good things...and sometimes, sadly, we don't realize that, until it's too late!! Time ticks, it flies by...hold on and give thanks!! Our yesterdays, are our memories and our tomorrows are coming fast...it all becomes a blur in the hurried paces of our daily lives...and if we're not careful...it all can become, well, mundane, or blaw zae...I have a dear friend, who God has weaved in to my life, and I feel her more a sister than a friend! I appreciate her love and all she means. When someone touches your heart....let them know!! Its Thursday...it may be just an ordinary day...but none really are in Christ...make it ...EXTRA...ORDINARY! By giving thanks...Thursday, everyday...for all you have!! Breathe in, breathe out...take the time, to stop, kneel and look around at it all!!! The other day, my honey and I were walking, and I didn't see a mushroom, that he saw, till I knee-led down and really looked!! It was there, I just didn't notice!! Sort of like many blessings we walk by every day of our lives!! They're there...but are we noticing them??? Be blessed and REALIZE...how blessed you ARE!! hugs n love!! I'm thankful...FOR YOU!!!

Is It Spring? Learning...thru the Seasons...

These pics are from snowy to grassy and all taken on the same day...Sat April 2nd!! Leave it to WV to have all kinds of weather in one day!! It was a fun filld day we shared w/ dear friends!! We went from the valley, where we enjoyed grassy scenes, to the mt tops where it was blowing and cold and snow deep!! It reminded me of our lives, all kinds of weather can come to us in a day! Things can be going great and then a storm hits...how do we handle it? In Christ, no matter what, He is still on the throne! Things may take US by suprise, but they sure don't catch HIM...of guard!! He who keepeth Israel neither slumbers or sleeps, says His Word!! Be assured, you are not on the mt top, or valley below...alone! God is with you! He will never leave us nor forsake us! We must faithfully cling to Him and obey. Trusting, it will all come together for our good! Just as these pics took us from one scene to the next, so are the days of our lives!! LOL But seriously, think of it? We may face all kinds of weather, and even in a day!! But he's there, always! I will cherish this day in my heart, as a great day we shared w/ our friends! And, I'm thankful for Spiritual lessons too...along our journey...of Faith...to more Faith!! Be blessd...in ALL...your seasons of life!!

Windy Wednesday gave way to Fabulous snowy Friday!!

Snown in the WV mts! And its a fabulous day in the Lord! By faith the worlds were created and by that same Faith, we too create our days destinies! My destiny is to progress in passion for the king! We have a divine destiny in our lives, that we can get to, or hold ourselves back from by the words, oh the great power of our speech! The Bible says, by them there is condemnation or justification. We receive the Lord in our hearts, BY faith. And we walk...daily...by the same! Its such a lovely Friday! A day to give thanks for all that I have, and will have...in Jesus machless and powerful name! That NAME that is above, and higher than any and all other on heavens and on earth!! Speak, breathe that name! And feel all your anxieties and troubles to fade....for when we breathe that name, we find our over coming strength joy and peace! Have a blessd Friday and weekend!! My youngest is on his way to winterfest...youth retreat in Tenn...right now...w/ our teens...to hear Jentzen Franklin in person and many other great bands and speakers!! I speak protection and a growing time over all of those young hearts!! Me? probably a great weekend, for some great snowy pictures to be taken!! I love capturing Gods beauty! Be blessd!!

Me n honey in Tulsa OK!

Tulsa's tall buildings!!

Now Faith is, the SUBSTANCE, of things you hope for, and the EVIDENCE....of things NOT SEEN! By Faith, we lay hold of everything in the Christian realm! Today is a windy, rainy Wednesday...You can't see...the wind, but you can see, what all it leaves behind! What by Faith, are you leaving behind today? Are your words taking you in to worlds unseen...conquering them in Jesus name? Or, is your lack of faith, causing you to miss out on all that is possible for you today? The choice everyday is ours. We can lay hold of all the riches in Gods Word for us, or we can be trampled by life's difficulties. I like to look in Gods word, for each situation I face, and even write out all the blessings and promises I find for that situation. The Word gives us strength to conquer. The Word is alive. The Word is a sword...to fight off all that the enemy throws our way. Find today in Gods Word, exactly what you need to take hold of, and claim it, hold it, speak it! See it come to pass in your life today! Healing, peace, joy, strength, prosperity, all these and more, that are blessings to us! The Word of God says many times, if we...then He! We, by our Faith in Christ...make that word come to life, we bring it to motion! The Bible says, "Calling in to existence, the very things that be not!" You can't see Faith, but boy the power of it! And you know what? We can't even please God with our lives, without it. We must trust. We must Have Faith in His never ending power. By Faith all the heroes of Gods Word attained the mighty things in Christendom! They didn't have anything else, that we don't have today. In fact, we have the Holy Spirit within us, as our daily power! Lord, I believe, help me with those times I don't....to trust you MORE! BY FAITH! TWO thousand miles later...we are back home!

WV to Oklahoma! Our two thousand mile journey, weaved us in and out of many states, to get to Tulsa to visit my little brother, and his family! What a journey it was! Oh the beauty we saw!! Tulsa is noted for its so called "super" churches! They do them big, out West! They seat folks by the thousands, not hundreds! It was amazing to see! Rhema, Kenneth Hagins church and school, and Oral Roberts University, are mega churches, reaching many folks thru their large ministries! We all had a great time visiting and taking in the views! What a journey...16 hours in a car together! Talk about bonding! LOL I am so thankful we were able to do it! We went down in to the city of Tulsa and saw the great buildings! It amazes me that they are so tall, when there are so many tornado threats out there! (I'd not want to be in a tall building then!) We went 60 stories up and took pics of Tulsa! Talk about flat land! Its amazing to go from the mountains we enjoy every day, to the only thing they've got tall out there, is their many sky scrapers! We had a great time with family and enjoyed many new sights! I'm glad to be home, even if it is to the snow once again! LOL Country roads, take me home...WV mountain mama!! What beauty the Lord blesses us to see!!

Isa 3:10 Upright not uptight!

It will be as a reward, for the righteous! They shall eat the fruit of their doings! The Reward, is for righteous living! It shall be well...with them who live upright! (NOT...uptight! LOL!!) It is well...with my soul! It comes in realizing, that we can have peace, for we know, we will be rewarded in living righteously! No matter what this life holds or brings, we can hold on to the promises of God, as our reward! To speak them out loud and see them come to pass! I encourage you today in the Lord...He KNOWS...and He is A REWARDER...of those who diligently, not passively, seek after HIM! I speak this word over myself and my family! I am thankful that living righteously and seeking Christ is a life with great reward! Not just in the here after, but right now living, can be daily blessed! There is no better life, than living our lives, unto Him! The rewarder of our souls! If you've felt beat down, and felt like at times, your "goodness" goes un noticed, be encouraged, and know...GOD...keeps track! We shall eat our good fruit for our good living! In DUE season, we'll reap, if we do not...give up or in, on the journey! Live today, upright, not uptight, and hold on to your reward for doing so! Be blessed!!

From Faith to Faith...a Journey!

The dictionary defines journey as, passage or progress from one stage to another. A travel, taking time. Our walk as Christians from earth to Glory, is a journey. It definitely takes faith. It definitely is a progression, with as the Bible says, here a little there a little, precept upon precept, our lives are built in character and strength! It tells us in another portion of scripture to not be "weary" in well doing, for we will "reap" if we faint not. We can't give up, before we reach the destination! (Though many a pilgrim does!) Did you ever think of yourself as a pilgrim? A pilgrim is simply one who journeys! We as Christians are pilgrims! It takes Faith, it takes courage! God knew, at times, we'd grow weary, and feel like giving up or in! The Word of God is our encouragement to keep on! We can read and study it daily to find our strength and encouragement when we feel weary! That, As well as our Christian friends we make along the path! I have one in particular, that is more like a sister than a friend! Our kindred hearts seem to weave deep! I am ever so thankful for that! She is such a blessing to me, she will never truly know! She has been a continual help and encourager, on my journeys! ( I pray I am as well!) I want to be progressing! Getting better than I was. How sad to find, yourself in the same spot you began your journey, when we reach the ending! I want to make better the lives of those whose mine touches, as well!! Think of the many others your life touches, on a daily basis! Life is hard, friend! It has its trials and temptations, that try to steer or veer us, off the path. But we must keep our eyes on the author and finisher of our Faith, Jesus Christ!! I want to hear him say someday, well done, pilgrim, you've passed the journey! You've kept hold...of your Faith...despite the tempast! Keep on keepin on!! The prize is there for us! (There are many riches in this life as well, for our walking the right paths!) But think of the prizes then! Are your bags packed? Are you ready? Do you live daily, ready? I think of our family going on just a weeks vacation, get away, to visit my brother and his family, in Oklahoma! I am ever so excited, for our journey! But, I've been preparing for it too!! In the dynamic book,Outlive Your Life, Max Lucado encourages Christians to make an impact—an impact of compassion—that will outlast their lifetimes. Just as Christ used ordinary men like Peter, Andrew, and James during His earthly ministry, He continues to use ordinary men and women today.God blesses a giving heart, . Taking a look at this... 2 Corinthians 9:7: “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” Regardless of our financial position, every one of us has something that we can give; however, the most joyful giving will occur when we can give without being afraid we just donated our grocery money. Outlive Your Life includes many good points! We should realize, that we are to live our lives, to make a difference! I think any time you write about giving, be it your life, or your finances, you begin to raise eyebrows! But I am with Lucado 100%! We need to each one do more! With the statistics he brought to light in the book, that we live in a day, with 1.75 BILLION poor, what is our answer to that. Many say, well, they'll always be there, or what could I...do about such? But, if everyone answers the dilemma that way, it will never be tackled! We cannot just turn our heads, and walk away, and think, that it will go away! We can make a GREATER impact, if we'd each get involved! I agree...live on the minimal and GIVE on your max! Boy, how would lives be changed, if we lived as so! If God chose 12 and used them to be world changes, does HE not require world changers out of we His followers today? Why do we think, the requirements any less of us today? It has thoroughly blessed my heart and challenged me to a higher level of being a giving Believer!

Local Missions Representative...Reaching out to the World in need/s...

That is the title I hold in my home church. But, what does it really mean? Today, I have been reminded, that missions work, takes on many forms. We may...all think of it, first as over seas, and second, as different languages, but, think about it, aren't we all....missionaries? God commanded all of us, as believers to go, and share the Gospel. Sharing the Gospel, takes on many forms too! It is way more than telling someone, they are loved, it becomes, showing them. This is where Jesus said, don't just tell someone you love, them, give them a blanket, feed them, help them out, of the need they are in! We all, represent, Christ, as Christians. The mission I hope to be pouring out, is love, mercy, compassion, to those hurting and in need/s. Sometimes, we get persnickety, judgemental, about situations and people. We can't be sitting on cushy pews and walking by folks we know, who have needs, telling them, we hope it gets better for them! We can't hear sermons preached on love, and not share it with those who need a hand, in this life we live. We look at clothes, or situations and think, well they got themselves in this mess...But, did they? Who are we to know? And even if they did? Do they need help, or kicked further in the bottom? Why do we kick those who are already down? I think, they really need help. I want to do more, to be more, what God wants me to be, to a lost and hurting world. I want to see, thru his eyes, that saw the woman, who all the world judged as a woman of the "night", who Christ scribbled in the sands of time, that she go and sin no more. Lord help me, not only at this season of Love and good will, Christmas, but far beyond, to see and be your eyes and hands. I knew two men, Junior and Seymore, who seemed poor by this worlds standards. We took them home in our car quite a few times after church services. Possibly some, would not give these a ride, as they did not smell the best, or dress the best...They could not talk real well. Seymore passed away a while ago, and his brother Junior, joined him in glory, this past Monday morning.

RIP JR.

It was so sad I will miss Junior in our church pews. Two men, that many would not take a time of day for, and yet Christ did. I am sure they are both in glory rejoicing in fine robes! Don't walk past these...who need our help. Don't speak with words, what cannot be backed with deeds. Lord...help me, Lord, USE..me! To really reach out, to those who need YOU! Not only at Christmas, but all year thru! I can still hear Jr. say, Pine pine, when you'd ask him how he was doing? That was how he said fine...PINE. He really is now...just PINE!

Capture all you can...of the holidays! I try to take my camera w/ me everywhere! Moments seem to come by so quickly and only one time...at em...so catch em...while you can! Moments, like the people in your life...just show up...don't miss them! I love the holidays more than ever, it seems the older I get, I want to remember. Wow...is that ever an age showing comment, but yeah...we need to Keep things in our hearts! When my hubby and I take walks in the Wonderfully wild WV mts...it seems, you'll only get that moment, to capture certain things...and how thankful I've been...for the many gorgeous...moments...I've inhaled! Gods hand, has given us so very much, family friends, loves, and beauty...to hold and enjoy! Don't take a moment for grantid...breathe it in...deeply! Hold someone...closely. Kiss someone, truly. appreciate...and Love! show it...Its sad when some folks say, well I just don't like showing...my emotions....why can them? Show them...how you feel...tomorrow...may be too late! You never know! This holday season...grab your camera...hold a hand...enjoy it...deeply! be blessed...and hey, you're loved!

Praise the LORD, my soul,

There is so very much, we have, that we need to be Thankful for! God truly is good, and that ...all the time! I live, move and breathe, because He has...breathed life...in to me! I can't say Thanks enough Lord! For my family...my husband, who I've been blessed to share 10 years so far with and look forward to many many more! We hike, fish, camp, hunt, walk, talk and share, so much! He's my lover, and my best friend! My boys...both so talented, and caring and loving! Bobby, so talented musically, a drummer, like no other! His band, just released their CD! He is my son and my friend, we share long talks! I'm blessed! Zach, a golfer that I know, someday, will put Tiger Woods to shame! Just accepted in to College, I know...God has greatness in store! He and I have such fun, I love to hear his laugh! Ricks daughter, Tiff, has blessed our family with a handsome grandson, Jase! Grandparents, new love to share! My home, and all I have, food on our table, more than can be imagined! And though, there are things, I'd love to have, if I'd never have another thing...I've lived...BLESSED! My health...at age 44 I can still hike 7 miles in one day! Up and down a mountain! (Although that hubby of mine, can out hike me, by far, deer hunting!) Put him on the trail of a white tail, and he won't give up! We camped all summer long, we've hiked the mountains and valleys below! We've enjoyed the nature that Gods blessed us with! Deer, black bears, even coyote's! I've taken many lovely pics this summer, to keep it all in my minds eye! Life leads us, from Faith to Faith more, we journey! Its all...a journey....From here...to ETERNITY!! We need to enjoy it all and give thanks, breathe it in deeply and see Gods wondrous hand! Your friends and family, appreciate and love them, and tell them you do! Life is, well, we are given, what we are by God, and it passes by so fast! A friend, who I love and appreciate more like a sister, than if she was blood! Our likes, make me giggle, so amazingly close to one another! We've enjoyed the beauty of a nite time camp fire and the goodies we ate around it! Memories, made, O so many! Give thanks! Families gather close on Thanksgiving, they eat, watch football, hunt, give thanks, and remember...times gone by! Last year at this time, my brother, his wife and family shared the feast with us! I miss them so! My mom and dad, too will eat alone, but at least they have each other to enjoy, to cherish! We all...have the day to create, new memories, of life, love and goodness! Count your blessings, name them one by one, and see ALL THE MIGHTY THINGS, THAT OUR GOD...HAS DONE! BE BLESSED!

All the benefits I have in life, are because and thru, these two words..."In Christ". In him, I live, and move, and have my being. In Him, I have life, and not just life, but that more....abundantly. In Christ, I have healing for my bones, and life sustained. In Him, I have all things I need to prosper and be in good health, even as my soul prospers. Nothing, I can ever attain, will be outside, of him! I wouldn't even want to try. I am so thankful this time of year, as through out the year/s...of His goodness and mercy I have! I can't begin to count the blessings my life holds. My spouse, my children, home, health, food, grace to make it from day to day. My breathe could not contain, what I'd need to begin to say thanks for all that I have, and have been given! I have walked the mountains with my honey, and stood by oceans waves, and all the while being taken back, by the awesome ness of our God!!

FALL : Change of the guard...

Seasons, come and go, and the changing of the guard! LOL I can't believe it's fall, and sure don't look forward to the brrr....that is coming next! They've already had the first reported snowfalls here in good ole WV mts! Lord, I want to go to Florida now. LOL Its beautiful! Gods beauty is all around! I enjoy so much this season...breathe it in and out, so deeply! What a blessed time, and yet, its only here, for a moment, a passage of time. To take us in to the next! Remember, what ever you are in right now, is just for a season. It too, will pass, and you will learn, from the marks, its left behind. You will remember it, but it will go. I love taking car rides, and taking pictures of the scenery this time of year! We've seen bear, deer, squirrels, and more...a friend, even saw a mountain lion! (But, she didn't get a picture!) Take the time, to enjoy, to see, to feel, to breathe in the beauty! Fall is soo beautiful! A chill to the air today, reminds me, that colder yet, will soon be here! I look outside and see the lovely palette on the leaves of the trees! Thanks Lord! For reminding us, through the seasons...of...our seasons!! Blessings this fall...

PUMPKIN BREAD...Sounds good to me!

Ingredients

2 cups white sugar

1 1/4 cups light brown sugar

1 cup walnut oil

1 (29 ounce) can pumpkin puree

4 eggs

4 2/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves

1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 cup cream sherry

1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts

Directions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease three 8x4 inch loaf pans.

2.In a large bowl, beat together white sugar, brown sugar and oil. Stir in the pumpkin. Mix in the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition.

3.In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, coriander and salt. Stir dry ingredients into pumpkin mixture until smooth. Stir in cream sherry. Beat till thoroughly blended, 1 to 2 minutes. Fold in nuts. Spoon batter into 3 greased 8x4 inch loaf pans, filling no more than three quarters full.

4.Bake in preheated oven until a tester inserted into center of a loaf comes out clean, about 65 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes in pans before turn out onto wire racks to cool completely. Can be kept at room temp. for 4 days or frozen.

Though we walk with eyes wide open,
Yet at times, we , fail to see
All the Glory, that's around us,
God the Fathers' majesty!

We walk with, arms beside us,
Yet sometimes, we , fail to share,
From our hearts, in to another,
We don't take the, time to care.

Though we have, two ears to listen,
And at times, we, do not hear,
What another heart is needing,
We will not stop, or venture near!

The tools we've all been given,
But our lives, are lived ablaze,
When we only, need to slow down,
And take advantage, of our days!

Realize, that what we're given,
O how quickly, passes on,
And there is no, re collection
When the dusk's, all go to dawn.

Like a vapor, we are given,
We live our lives, from day to day,
Take the time, to stop and listen,
For O how quickly, they fade away!

O how we need to take advantage of, to number, or take account of, our days! To make them...COUNT~! To not walk by people, without touching, feeling, seeing, hearing. God help us to touch others!

Up is Down

Welcome to the kingdom of God! Where up is down, to be serving, is better than being served. and so much more! It might not make much sense., but, it is definitely the way of the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus said, the first shall be last! I'll choose the end of the line, because at some point, I'll have the beginning! When we realize that he is working servant hood in and thru us! THINK...of it! A light isn't heard...it simply does it's job!! SHINES! And the Lord wants you and I...to be lights in this world! To live and to shine, our Gospel. Not to necessarily preach it, but to live it out loud! Its really neat to think of! You see, I reach my fullest potential as a Christian, not by broadcasting who, or whose, I am, but by living it, and having others ask, about my faith in Christ! We are to preach, and if or when possible...use words! Our lives, lived out loud, are the message! I find it obnoxious, when people try to shove something down my throat! Think of sales people, who are cramming something at you. Are you more prone to buy, with that behavior, or with the more laid back, approaches? I believe we live the Gospel every day...out loud in our lives, in our every day, doings. Let others see your light today, in such a way, that they say, hey yes, there is a Savior and He is, Christ the Lord, I see him in you and your family!! I see Jesus...IN YOU!

Book Review - Anne Broadstreet - by D.B. Kellogg

This is an amazing biography about an extraordinary young woman as she deals with moving to the wilderness of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, caring for her family, and writing poetry that speaks of her love for her God.
I was amazed at her descriptions of the Puritan lifestyles in the 1600's. I was also taken back by the courage this young woman showed, caring for 8 children and still trying to deal with medical problems herself. Her poetry shows a heart felt depth and I am sure she'd never realized the impact, it would have not only on her own day and age, but in and for generations to come! This is a small book, and a quick and easy read, and a good biography. D.B Kellogg does a good job bringing her life to the hands of todays reader, and making it easy to understand. This series is called the Christian Encounters series, for those who love History, its a good read.

Feelings...We walk by Faith...

The Bible says, "We walk by faith and not by sight." So why do we let feelings and emotions, stir us so much? Why do we let our Spiritual senses, be led so much, by the physical? I believe that all of "seeing", is in what we actually, "perceive" it to be!
Perception of the physical world does not necessarily result in a universal reaction among receivers (see emotions), but varies depending on one's tendency to handle the situation, how the situation relates to the receiver's past experiences, and any number of other factors. Feelings are also known as a state of consciousness, such as that resulting from emotions, sentiments or desires. You see, how we "perceive" somthing, situations and such, is really, how we are handling, that something. I see it as such, because I'm perceiving it to be, as such. Sound deep? Not really. You see, the Lord wants the believer, to understand, that life, is full of varying, variables! Life comes at you fast, is the adage! So how, will you handle, or perceive, whats coming at you, so that you can handle...it? We have to trust, that God in our lives, will bring us thru as shining gold. But we must ...go thru...sometimes. There is another side, to be reached. We will never get there, if we perceive it as too difficult, and give in, or up. I walk...by faith, so I hold to Gods hand. I'm not always promised the easy road. I'm not promised no rain, no pain, no mountains, or valleys. I'm only promised, that He will...never leave me, nor forsake me, in them! I'm not alone! That alone...should give us courage, and strength!! I know too many Christians, who look at the size of the problem, more than looking at the size of their God! He is way bigger, than what, or anything, we can ever face! Cast all...Your cares on Him...for He cares, for you! We don't get rid of the problems, by worrying. Prayer, always works. And letting go, and letting God. Don't listen to your feelings, they are too often led by fear. And that is direct, 180 degree, opposite of trust! Remember, keep walkin on, by Faith. Don't look at the waves, keep your eye on the wave calmer! You can make it! Keep on walkin!

Think of it...the Blessings that we gain in this life, as believers...are all, "If WE...then>HE!" Type of blessings! If we...are two things...willing...first, and then obedient 2nd...we will see Gods hand move mightily in our lives! If we...are willing and obedient, then ...He...will bless our lives abundantly and to the fullest. See He did come to assure us of a life that's lived abundantly to the fullest, overflowing, till He comes! But we settle. John 10:10 tells us he came to give us not just life, but THAT MORE ABUNDANTLY! But this ole, Life comes at us fast, and we give up or in...and don't overcome, as we should and can...IN HIM! All that we have NEED of...for gaining and overcoming...lies finished IN HIM! So then, we need only receive, claim, do and see! The goodness of God on our behalfs! If we...be willing, are you willing to do what he asks, where he leads? Are you obedient, with HOW...he wants it done, or WHEN? When we do...those things, stand therefore...having done all just STAND! You see, Christ has done His part, so when we actually do ours...then we can stand there! Its kind of like staring down the enemy! Throwing the gauntlet, and saying, It's all been done...I'm standing! Don't let blessings pass you by in disobedience. Don't let them pass you by, by not doing...what you need to do. You see, Gods done His part...now it's up to me/we! If we...then HE!! will move! Look out, for our God is definitley on the move...will we get in, get on...or see it GO BY? The choice...is up to you and I!! Don't be a by stander...of Gods goodness and say, why doesn't it or won't it...happen to me...for If we...then HE WILL! Stand...and see your God move mighty! HE WILL! Blessings! Don't settle...today for less, than Gods best!! Take it...by storm!!

Seasons...Of Life!

I captured this one lovely wv evening

All of our lives, are wound in and through, seasons! Not only does the world have it's seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, but our lives too, have seasons. God leads us along, just that way. Life is a journey, a course, that we travel, and we go through different times and seasons. Paul says, in all things, I've learned. Its all about learning, while we are traveling! The travels would be useless, if we never learned from them! Its amazing what a litttle winter time, can teach us! How to look forward to the Spring times, when things will again bloom forth in our lives! How to realize, that Winter will not last forever! We are passing "through", to get to other places and times! What are you going "through" today, that may be a trial for you, and may be an experience you can share, with someone, someday, to be a "strength" in their life? Think of it, what you encounter, may be there, to give you somewhat to share, to someone, someday, that will encourage and strengthen their life, in a season, they are going "through"! Sometimes, we feel like licking our wounds, and calling it quits. Sometimes, we feel the season, we are in, will never end! Don't give up, don't give in, keep holding on to God, and He will bring you "through"! It is we, who let go of God, for He, will never, He has promised, let go of us! He says in His Word, I am with you always, I will never leave you nor forsake you! Some folks quote the verse, that God will never give us more, than we can handle, and that is true, but only He knows...when! He holds the finished result of the patchwork quilt of our lives! He knows the pieces, that the end product needs! He knows just how long, the seasons, can, will and should, last! How can I argue, or question, the Creator of the ends of the earth? Who is man, the Psamist David says, that thou O Lord, art mindful of him? How can the pot say to the potter, what the mold should be, or what it's end result should be? Ours is to trust and hold tight to Gods hand. To show forth his light, to others who need to know, that they, can make it through their seasons! The Bible says, "Looking unto Jesus", the author and the finisher...of our Faith! He brought me, here and He'll bring me thru! He didn't bring me "to it", to not...bring me THRU...it! Hold on today and trust Him, keep your eyes on him! When we focus on the difficulties, they get bigger! You'll make it thru to your springs and your summers! Flowers will again bloom in your life! Hold on! Blessings on the journey!

Redeeming the time...

Let goodness grow...and give thanks!

The Bible speaks of "redeeming" the time, for the days are evil! No doubt the wickedness around us is on the rise! I see it as this, the devil works overtime, to "wear us down and out". Hes trying his best to steal our moments in our days! If we are worn out in not enough time, we cannot complete all that God has set in our hearts to do for Him!! We need to do all we can to keep ourselves DAILY...refreshed...in Christ! By walking and meditating in and on...Gods Word! Hide it in your heart...speak it over your lifes' situations! Pray daily...speak to God, and give Him thanks for all the great things He's aleady done and is working on!! We are "complete" in Him, Christ, but He's not yet finished or completed HIS WORK...in US!! Don't let precious moments slip by...instead, do all you can to redeem your time!! Knowing that the hour is short! Christ is coming soon! Do NOT...be weary, in well doing ...for in DUE SEASON...Your time is coming dear saint...and you WILL reap...if you faint not! Buy it back...its YOUR time! Now is your time, today is your day...In Christ Jesus!! Blessings, its a journey, but don't get so wearied on the way, that your days are stolen one by one!! You can make it!!

Selah...Think about it...

More than casual, is how we should think about God. More than just "happen chance", if we "get the chance", He, God, should be our hearts sought after daily desire! None other but Thee! To meditate...or concentrate on Him and His Goodness! Sharing it with others and seeing their lives...grow stronger. In the Psalms David used Selah, which meant, literally, "think about it", after many of his poetic writings. Why would he write, and then tell us...to "think" about it. Well, there is more...than just reading something, is letting it become a part of our day, and thinking...on it, through out our day! I don't want to take God "casually" in my life! I want Him to be my PASSION...and DESIRE! A Passion, is something that DRIVES us...while if we grow...PASSIVE...we need to be driven, to follow. Big difference! I don't want to have to feel...something to follow Him...or SEE...His hand...I want to LOVE...Him for WHO He is to me...AND FOLLOW...HARD...after God!! Are YOU...Following Him HARD? (Or hardly enough?) We need to Selah...and think about it. He is coming soon...I believe it with all my heart! And we ought to be, living our lives...accordingly...thinking about...HIM! Book Review of Max Lucado's Cast of Characters

This book, Cast of Characters, takes the reader in to the lives of "common people", and views it thru the works of an "uncommon" God! It reads like this is the cast of a play, and these are the common characters that God has chosen to use in Big ways! You will read about the lives of 26 people like; Paul, Moses, Abigail, and Mephibosheth. He uses scripture to introduce each of the characters, and then weaves us, the reader, into their daily lives, showing us, how common people, can be used by God to attain uncommon purposes for Him! Lucado ends each chapter with discussion questions that can be just thought provoking for the reader, or used as a part of a group discussion.
I enjoyed reading this book, as I have many of Max Lucado's books! I will be sharing it with friends and family! It gave me a new outlook of many Biblical characters, I've already read in the Word of God and now saw them through this, in a different light! I would highly recommend it to anyone as a devotional type supplement, or even a smaller group discussion starter!

We are all...missionaries...sent ones! Into the highways and by ways. The wal marts and k marts. The job places and school houses. We are to carry this message of the Gospel to all! You are commissioned as a Christian by your King! Jesus Great Co mission to us...was to go into all...the world and preach the Gospel, and make disciples, (disciplined learners) of ALL...men! We are to shine...Matt 5:14...as lights in a darkened world. Showing the light of the way. Jesus is the way...the truth and the life. None other, by no other, can be found or attained. If we don't tell loved ones, friends, family, those who we come in contact with every day! Last night, a neighbor asked me to pray for her step dad who was just diagnosed with stage four cancer! I stopped at the edge of our houses, and on the spot prayed! I don't say this to toot, but to say, that opportunities are there, if we take them! When someone asks prayer...pray! When someone says how bad life is...tell them how GOOD...God is!! Show the way, be the light! Go ye! Have a blessed day...seize an opportunity today...to let your light SO SHINE! We need not to worry or fear about our futures in America. We need to pray. Pray for all those in authority and for all! We need...to be on our knees! It is a desperate time in America! A time to realize...that any freedom worth having, is worth standing up...for!! If...we want to retain freedoms, I know...it'll take a stand! Its amazing to me, that when "conservatives" stand for anything, we are being pushy, or what not, but let a liberal stand for his or her rights w/ anything, and that's ok. I just don't see it. We are called, pushy and in tolerant. Well the Bible definitely and whole heart idly says, to shun evil. To be the light, that scatters the darkness around us! Its a time for Christians to not be afraid to get on board w/ tea parties and the such, if...they are standing for our freedoms! Its time for us to let the liberals know, we too have a voice! Its time more than anything...to pray! Above all!! Don't be afraid of things, ahead, but don't be head in the sand either. Blessings, remember, if we don't stand for something in life...we'll fall...for anything! And, remember, that all that is Necessary...for evil to prosper...is for GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING. Looking up a PINE to the sky!

I love to take pictures of all of Gods splendor and beauty! The mountains, the deer, the bear, the flowers! My boys, and all the things they like to do, like golfing, and playing drums in a band! My husband and I, as we go four wheeling, have campfires, enjoy camping, and fish in the river! Gods handiwork is amazing! Even more...amazing to me, is that people today, seem to pay more homage to a so called, "mother earth" , than the Father God...who truly created all that is! Genesis 1:1 In the Beginning God created....the heavens and the earth.... I love to carry my camera everywhere I go. I love taking pictures of the many neat things I see! I love to have memories of all the neat things we enjoy and do as a family!! Gods beauty is truly all around. The Bible says, many times, for him who has ears to hear, let him hear. But, sometimes I think, for him who has eyes to really see....let him SEE!!! Take it all in, and realize the beauty that is in and all around us!! Breathe in today and give thanks To God for all the beautiful things around us!! All that he's given to us, to enjoy! and make our lives, more SPECTACULAR! People worry so much about caring for the earth. And true, we need to take care of what we have...but, why not teach folks to give thanks...to God...for what we have...and honor HIM!?? I am amazed...at all there is around us, that screams the touch of the Mighty Creator...GOD! Take time to enjoy, and give thanks. Take some pictures, and look back...at the blessings all around!

The Community Church in Bemis WV where I preach every other Sunday!! To the campers there and more!!

Ahh...the weekend ahead! Time with honey, off to our camp! God is soo good. We just need to take the time to enjoy....all that he's given us. And to Give Thanks! I can't wait to walk in the river, and sit by the campfire at night while the smoke swirls around us! Roast up a hot doggie and make up my smoores!! Chat w/ close friends...Gods blessed us w/!! A morning mountain walk, maybe see a black bear or a deer!! His beauty all around!! Thank God it's Friday! I have to wash up some clothes and pack...but soon we'll be on our way!! All that is left to do...is enjoy...and give thanks!! Blessings, take time and enjoy your weekend! ours is sunny so far in the WV Mts!! Wonder how our Pastor is enjoyin Disney right now?? Mountain top to Mountain top...

All of our lives...are lived, from Mountain tops to mountain tops. We don't stay there, but we'll be back to it. We go through valleys, at times, dry seasons, sometimes rainy times, and back up where we belong! I've learned that the valleys, are where we get the best view of the mountain tops! I can see them better. And from the mountain tops, I've seen so far. God widens our view, by our changing positions. We need to take the time to appreciate, all the many places God leads our lives to! Like Paul said, what ever circumstances I'm in...I've learned ,"contentment". To be content, means literally, how we perceive something. It is then, not really what we're in...but how we VIEW...what we're in!! Cool huh? Being content, is all in how you see it!! You can CHOOSE...to be satisfied, w/ the view...where ever you are!! Our Faith, brings us to the "next places", in our lives! We WALK...by FAITH! Its' far easier, to TALK, than to WALK..by it!! But our eyes, oh how deceiving they can be! They can make us fear...what lies ahead...or, by Faith we can say, no way...its just grasshoppers, not giants, and IN CHRIST...I am WELL ABLE...to do this!! Relax, and rest in Gods leading hand. And let him take your life...from mountain top, to mountain top!! Oh, you'll be back, even if you go round the mt. top a bit, you'll be back! Enjoy the views! Where ever you are...so that you can say with the apostle...I've learned ....I'm not there, I'm learnin...to be content!! Its a JOURNEY...definitely!! Hold on tight, and enjoy the views...THAT MY FRIEND, IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT!!

On a trip, the Garmin is such a handy tool to have around! Set your path, and follow accordingly. No worries. Isn't it neat, that as Christians, we can do the same, if we'll follow our Garmin? The Spirit mans Garmin is the Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit within! If we'd follow the Word of God in and thru out our lives, no worries! If we'd follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives and walk accordingly, no worries! The Bible says, or actually the psalmist David in the Bible said, "Thy Word, have I HID...in my heart, that I might not sin, against thee." If we keep it there, it shines the path as needed. We can't go wrong. Its when we try to lean on our own understanding, that the path way gets crossed up. I'm so thankful for the strength and direction I find daily in reading and meditating on Gods Word!! It is my Holy Garmin for life! I don't leave home without it! And when I'm takin a trip...my Garmin goes along too! Blessings, don't go without direction...you just might get lost. LOL Blessings on the journey!

German pancakes...

Serves about 4

Put 1/2 stick of butter (1/4 cup) in an 8 x 8 casserole dish and melt in the oven at 425.

While butter is melting, mix 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup milk and 3 eggs.

When butter is melted slosh it around a little bit so the butter coats the sides of the pan and then pour the batter in. Bake for 20 minutes.

Church Picnic/Family Fun!

Our church picnic day, was called Family Fusion. Our Pastor decided for that, as he made the entire day, an event. It began with morning worship....and ended up with us playing softball together w/ the teens, and feelin it today! LOL We had food, fun, and great fellowship! I played catcher, and actually yes, hit the ball all three times up to bat!! (Yes, I'm proud that I can still do that one!) But boy was I achy, by the time, we got home!! It hit quick! It reminds us real quickly, we are not as young as we think, sometimes! (I'm not 21 anymore!) Sports creme, and my dear hubby reminded me of that, as we shared woes! LOL Its all good though, to get a real stretch! As Christians, we ought to stretch ourselves beyond and reach for more in the Lord! Sometimes, we think, it's not worth the pain, its not worth the stretch. But, if we never stretch ourselves, we get out of shape and quick! I'm thankful for our church, our Pastor is a great leader, and is constantly challenging us all to go further in the Lord! Even in our softball game, I did just that. It was a blast, and its worth it! What about you? what is the Lord challenging you to stretch yourself to today? Will you go for it, despite the pain that you may have? Will you go with all your might, for all that He has for you? A church picnic day, was a great family fun day, and a day to be challenged to go beyond ourselves! I'm Thankful for my Daddy...HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

I'm thankful for a dad who always, even after pulling double shifts at work, had time for his family! He taught me to hunt and fish.We camped, and hiked and always were busy! I shot my first deer with dad! He's a golfer too and shines knowing his grandsons golf too! He still at 65 is active and on the go! He loves the Lord and loves to tell others about him. I bless the Lord for a good daddy.I remember him teaching Sunday School class, preaching to men in the prison thru a prison ministry he held for years! He always loved to share! He has always been to me and now is to my children! What a great heritage!
I'm thankful too for a great husband who is also a great father. Dads, deserve honor for all they do. And if you've got a good one, its a real blessing! Honor them in the Lord! I took this pic, when dad was taking my youngest on a golf trip. When they got back, we visited this place up high on the mountain! Happy Fathers day...DAD!

How true is this? I'm so amazed by Gods amazing hand!! This past weekend, we camped again. Our camper, nestled in an old campground in the WV mts. Beautiful rivers to fish and mountain views all around!! On the way there, to camp...we saw/watched a little black bear cub up in a tree!! Eye level, and only about 50 -60 feet away!! Talk about amazing!! To see and observe such beauty up close and personal!! Only in the WV MTS., can one enjoy and observe such grand things!! Like this quote from Laura Ingalls, it is in the simple things, that we can see the amazing! Gods word says he uses the "simple things" to confound the wise. Or, go figure, how cool is this! LOL Camping is a simple pleasure, not very costly, but oh the joys and memories a family can cherish and build! Fishing, riding four wheelers, walking the mt sides, just relaxing in Gods mt. Beauty! We had a grand and glorious time, as we always do!! I even caught a lovely brown trout...about 16 inches!! Gods beauty!

Every day as Christians, we should be putting on Christ...the clothes, n the armor before we go out to face our day, with its victories and battles fought and won....I say won, because we are...victors in Christ!! overcomers!!

Colossians 3:12 says, Clothe yourselves there fore...as Gods own chosen ones...put on...these...MERCY, GENTLENESS, PATIENCE, TENDERNESS, LOVE...ABOVE ALL!! What ever we PUT ON...in the AM, and oh how we stand in front of the mirrors to see it...LOL...we need to put on...all these!! Then, Ephesians 6:11-18....the Armor...Helmet, Salvation, Feet, peace, shield Faith, Sword...the Spirit, the WORD, Breastplate, Righteousness, Belt Truth! We make sure we are dressed, "just so" before we leave...but Oh how we need to check our Spirit man as well!! God help me to put on the clothes of righteous living and the armor that protects me daily from all of the enemies plots and ploys!! How bout you...do you have just clothes on...OR MORE??? LOL blessings!!

Golf is my sons game...

I love to watch him play. Golf is his game. And he's a "natural" at it. It is definitely...his niche from God! Golf, can be looked at Spiritually. It takes precision. It takes, patience, to see a little ball all the way around 18 holes. It takes more than happen chance, if you desire to be any good at it at all. My grandfather and my father and brother have all golfed. Both sons do, and one of them, sleeps, eats, and drinks the sport! That makes the difference, between the "casual" or the "committed" golfer, as does the casual or committed Christian separated too....by the passion...that is behind it!! Golf is said to be a "gentleman's" sport. I'm thankful he's in it and is good at it. I pray that Gods favor is upon Him in all he desires to attain in it! He takes it...far...from casual. He is serious at it. Are we...? W/ Christ? Are we "casual" happen chance, or committed? It makes a world of difference, is the passion. Its the flame, the drive, the desire. I love to ride along in his cart, and watch the precision he uses in his game. Mom photographs, and son...works his game. Think of our walk with God...it should be more..than a sport in our lives. We should be taking it seriously and living it, w/ passion. It should be a daily devotion! He loves the Lord, and he loves...golf! And mom, is proud. of both of those! This summer, he's golfing the Jr. Top Flight tour! I pray Gods favor and best in his life in and thru this talent....He challenges me...to be more precise...in my Christianity. PASSION! Brings it to life!! Golf is a game, but both that and our Walk with God are brought to life...thru the passion we have in them!! We like golf can shoot in to the "rough"....what will we do? Throw the clubs? Get aggravated? Give up? Or dig in...to use the sand wedge and get out! Use the tools you have in Christ, to get out. His word, prayer, church attendance,the Holy Spirit, all of which, pull us thru and out...of the "roughs"...we get in to at times. a hole in one, is possible but takes...excellence. HE has attained this too!! precision, excellence, passion! God give us more of these!! Blessings, FOUR!!!

Although I've never before owned one, I'm sure I'd own another. I'd love to keep more than one, though like I say, she's spoiled. My hubby, God bless him, I blame for that. LOL. He is wrapped around her paw...maybe all four!! LOL Yorkies are a great breed. I have NEVER...seen her to be mean, natured to any human. Even kids, she's be friended. I recommend one highly!! I ministered yesterday AM at New Life Church. It was the first Service that a woman was in that pulpit, since the founder of the church, a mighty woman of God, passed away, exactly one year ago, to yesterday's date. I am so thankful and humbled by God to be used to touch others lives in such a way as this! I got to thinking, we are ALL....called to go, into various places. We are put in those places, commissioned by God Himself. Do YOU...see yourself as ONE SENT...on a Mission...daily from God?? YOU ARE! He uses us on this earth, we are each placed in different places, whereby we can reach others, we only may come in contact with. Your life, may touch individuals that no pastor, evangelist, teacher, or preacher, may ever have the same opportunity to reach. Are we shining and showing, the Love and Gospel of Jesus in and thru our lives? Do our lives shine hope...peace, salvation?? You may say, but I could NEVER...stand or sing, behind a pulpit, but, your job, your daily activities, bring you in to divine contacts with others. YOU...are an ambassador, sent out to reach "nations" that you pass thru daily. An ambassador is one sent, on a mission. Don't you see, the Christian, is just that? Not some, but all...of us are to GO...into all this world and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We preach it loudest and best, by our lives. Shining! By being...who we should be! By living out...Christ in us...the HOPE...of all eternal Glory!! Don't take it lightly, don't shrug your task. You are not....on COVERT...or hidden opps...no...we are sent by God to shine! We cannot, or should not...be ASHAMED...of this Gospel we bear of Jesus Christ. On my site I have the prayer guard button...it takes you to pray for missions, missionaries and various places in our world, where people in Christ are facing real LIFE...persecutions, just for living out...their FAITH in GOD! Sometimes, its harder for us to LIVE...for Christ, than to say we'd die, for Him! You too, are an evangelist. Go...with the good news of Christ today. Will it be wal mart, or, your work place, perhaps your neighborhood....don't hide with shame....for He...one day will do the same you have given for Him! Go....light your world around you. Gardens of our lives...

Our little garden! At first....its already...come a LONG..way!

Spiritually speaking, our lives, are like planting a garden. We can plant good seeds or bad, and, from what we've planted, is from what, we will reap our harvest; be it good or bad. Gardening means, being willing to get dirty. It isn't always clean, and it isn't always nice, but, you look toward, the rewards! The Bible says, what a man sows, he will surely reap. You can't plant corn seeds, and expect tomatoes in return. In the same way, you can't plant, things that are harmful and not good, and expect to receive goodness in return, it just doesn't pay out that way. I know, that we have to battle, weeds, rabbits, bugs, and other "destroyers", that try to ruin our harvest. In our lives, there are bad thots, bad lures, and friends that are not the best choices, places, that are not the best choices, habits and activities, that are not the "best" choices. All of these, will in turn, prove to unfold an un favorable harvest in our lives. We cannot expect to plant bad choices, and think that just a "little" of it in our lives, won't harm/or hurt...the harvest or the outcome! IT WILL! It only takes a small amount of bugs, to multiply and destroy, the seeds that have been planted. Furthermore, I do not understand, why we will not fight...or work...for what we have...taken the time to plant?!! I mean, if we were willing one day to walk to an alter, and co-mitt our lives to Christ, why are we not willing to work on...and guard w/ all diligence, the outcomes? And, if we do not...why do we still expect...the better harvest, for the lesser work? It just doesn't happen. Gardening takes work, it takes diligence, it takes battling, it takes perseverance, to some day, get to the harvest! My hubby and I, have planted our garden. We've been weeding and using miracle grow to feed it, and using bug repellents to guard it. We now, are seeing, already, small blooms of our seeds, beginning to spring forth. Tomatoes, cukes, lettuce, peppers, squash, I can't wait, for the yummy results! I in the same way, take daily care, of my spirit man. I am sure to daily water, daily nurture, daily fight the enemies of the garden...so that I can see...the good harvest! Why not? I wouldn't have done the seeding, if I weren't willing to see it to fruition. Its worth it! Well...worth it!! Plant on, Christians, and Harvest time...will come!! blessings, don't give up and let weeds or bugs...destroy, or rob you...of your harvest time!!

I love love love the Lord, w/ all my heart mind soul and strength!! He's so good! I'm so blessed and thankful, can't write enough say enough or get enough...OF HIM!! My hubby...he is such a wonderful man, I'm soo blessed there too!! We are two peas in a pod! LOL Sometimes I'd choke him, but boy do I love him! He does so much and is so compassionate and good!! He brought me breakfast in bed today, before I left out for school teachin! (Another love!) TEACHING! I love it, whether at the Christian School, where I'm privaleged to teach, or at church, where I do teen class!! I love that too!! And tonite...I'm teaching adults in Wednesday nite Bible studies at our church!! I love writing, case you couldn't see that one comin! LOL and I love photography!! Two more things like the teachin I thot I'd pop in there! I love my sons, more than well, how can you express what motherhood does!?? I'll never forget having either of them, and now, wow, where have those years ran to?? Bobby at 19 going on...20??? Is it true, or even possible??? and, Zach, 16 going on 17...a senior officially now. Next year! Heaven help me, my last son graduating next year! Time flies by so quickly! God is soo good in our lives! Oh how He loves us and gives us so many things to love in our lives too! My life is so entirely and wholly blessed! I could not ask for more! Needs, yes, I've got some? But, they pale in comparison to all that I have in HIM! Be blessed...think of your life loves...and COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS!!

It is sad today, the persecution that really does exist. We today, sometimes are not aware of all that believers in other countries go thru to name the name of Jesus! This is one young mans link in China, being persecuted for over two years now...for simply his faith in Christ. The Gov't has tried to cover it saying their accusation is that he told states lies. But, it is truly persecution for his being a Christian. What would you or I do, if our faith was to be tried as these? Would we stand, or would we fold? Wed nite Bible studies...

I will be teaching the next five weeks in our church, for Wednesday Night, Adult Bible studies. I'm so excited for this opportunity, to be used of and by, the Lord! He's so good! I love sharing about him, and I love teaching, adn preaching the good news! I've had lately, more so, many new and exciting doors opening for me, to be able to share the Lord! I told my Pastor, that if he knew of any openings, that I'd be willing and able to share! I'm trusting the Lord in these new steps, I'm taking. I've been saved all of my life, attended Christian High school and college, and worked in Christian service all of my life as well! I've taught Sunday schools, w omens' ministries, Youth, teens, children s church and sang! I've preached in several places as well! I know that we are all made ambassadors for Christ, I know that His word tells us to study to show ourselves approved unto God, workmen, that need not to be ashamed, but can rightly divide, his word of truth! We are ALL...made ministers! We are all...called to share with others! I covet your prayers as I do these areas of ministry! Its a blessing to be able to share the Lord! If you are able, to share his love with others, do it, and do so with all boldness! Knowing that you are called...to share! Health Net at New Life Christian School

Health Net...landed at the Christian School I teach at today. The kids...and I...LOVED IT! I'm a big kiddo anyway! I never knew so much about Life flight! I teach 5th and 6th graders and not only my classes, but all of them...thoroughly enjoyed this event today! Not only did they land, and take questions from all of us, but they allowed the kids to go in and thru the helicopter, to see all of the things inside! From here to Morgantown WV in 25 minutes! wow! Normally an hour and 32 mins by car. Approximately a 92 mile trip! Its really amazing, what they are able to do, to save lives!! The pilot and two crew members, did an awesome job of teaching and explaining to all of our kids! The two crew, doctors/nurses aboard, shared what their job entailed too! Such neat folks, really deserve a praise, for their great jobs! Thanks for folks like this, who work daily to see lives saved! Blessings and prayers in all you all do!!

Be Different...Be Holy!

God commands for His own to be separated. We are to be different. We are to be Holy, as He is. He doesn't suggest it, He demands for it. We cannot be like this world. For although we are IN..this world, we are not OF..this world. If they are doing it, we shouldn't be. Our language, our walk, our talk, our behaviors, our eating and drinking, our dress, our television and computer time, our spare time, it should all be...TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY! We are created to bring Him honor and praise. Are my lips and behavior adding up to one and the same? Do I praise Him and bring Him praise in and thru my actions? Am I other...than this place I'm in right now? Can others in this world look at my life, and want, what I've got? Do I shine Joy, peace, patience, and Godliness? I am striving, I am running this race, for the place I'm going is my home, Heaven. I'm not created for here, I'm created for there! Oh how I want to honor Him, with my life! Oh Lord, I make myself a prayer to you, I want to do, what you want me to...no broken lies, no COMPROMISE! I loved Keith Green! That man, could write a song! And he had it down, about the Christian walk! NO COMPROMISE! Why do we claim Christ and not think it important all...of our behaviors add up to NO COMPROMISE! I'm NOT...going to be a Christian statistic, of who walked to an alter, and yet, didn't walk out the LIFE STYLE! Oh how thankful I am for what He has done, and is doing in my life...and I DESIRE...to HONOR HIM! Jesus , I want my life...to be a praise to you! I want to be different, than this world, HOLY! He said, we are a people, strange, peculiar, HOLY, separated! Listen, if you've not made up your mind...and its a decision that you have to MAKE UP...then just do it. Start today. Dont' throw in the towel over mistakes. No! Instead, strive! Strive for His holiness in YOU! In Christ...You can do it! You can be different! It IS...possible! To be in this world and not OF..it! Romans 12: 1-2 He...is OUR REASONABLE...not unreasonable...service! We OWE Him..our LIVES! We OWE HIM..that much! The only way...IS NON...CONFORMITY! BOOK REVIEW...You Can Be Everything, God Wants You to Be, by: Max Lucado! In only 127 pages, Max Lucado in his eloquent style, that he is famous for, takes us to find our "sweet spot" in the Lord! My son, is an avid golfer, so I knew right away, what the "sweet spot" was talking about in this book! It is "tagged" as a perfect gift for a graduate, but I was blessed by it myself! Max says in it," Moses had a staff, David a sling, Dorcas a needle...what do you and or I...have? " To be used individually by God? We all have a gift, a skill, a "sweet spot" placed inside all of us by the maker, God! This book, helps us to realize, see, and or find...that spot! Its a zone, a place, where in each of us dwell! A puzzle piece, that we fill! Sometimes, we take it for grantid or overlook it...I love the prose of Max's writing style, that reminds me to be ever mindful of Gods purpose in ME! As a writer of poetry and prose myself, I am drawn to books like this...that seem to flow, with passion and purpose! It is short enough, that it doesn't take long to sit down and read through it! And its SWEET enough...that you can't seem to put it down! I know, I didn't! I encourage you to grab a copy and be encouraged in your own walk, to find your purpose in Christ! We all have...a sweet spot, and not that just for grads alone!

To Know Him...To Know Him...Is the CRY..of my heart!~

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding [the wonders of His Person]more strongly and more clearly. And that I may in that same way come to know the power out-flowing from His resurrection. Is it your "determined purpose", to know God better? To become, "progressively" which is to say, that it's a "process", more intimately acquainted with Him? There is a song that says, "To know Him, to Know Him, is the cry of my heart, Spirit reveal Him to me, to hear what, He's saying, brings joy to my soul...to know Him...to know Him...ALONE." Wow! It only comes through that one on one building of a realtionship with God! Quiet times. Becoming more in His image. You see, I can't help but become...more in the image, of Him who I am spending more quality time with. They even say, after time, we look more...like our mates! How could we help not...becoming more like God? A purpose is a plan. It has a "destination". I'm not there yet...I'm goin over there! To the place of more depth, more passion...more time...WITH GOD! Its a cry...of my very heart, soul, and being! I must needs to do this! You see, when it becomes like that, we WILL BE CHANGED! Into His image! Is that your hearts cry. I don't want to leave, like I came!! Blessings on the journey!! And it is...a journey ...to a place, of KNOWING HIM MORE! Not there yet...I'm goin! Won't you go too?? :) Come along side, with me, and we'll encourage each other! What better...than to say to each other, you can make it, you can do this thing...don't give up, or give in! In His Image....

Don't you know, that you and I...are created IN HIS IMAGE!? In the image of the living God, what a monumental thought. It is sobering and should be life changing. What do I reflect daily? Patience, kindness, goodness? That's the image of my Heavenly Father, all of those, and many more! I think of Moses, when he came from the mountain after meeting with God, his hair, was literally changed white! I think, to myself, am I being so changed, after being in Gods presence, that it is so clearly visible as this? I want to be MORE...in the presence of God. I want to be CHANGED...by being there! I don't want to be SATISFIED...as a Christian w/ where I am spiritually!! Why should I? I mean, why should I, or we, look at our lives after a year, 5 years, 10 years, and SEE NO REAL EVIDENT CHANGE IN OUR BEHAVIORS. Think of it. His gentle molding hand, the potter, SHOULD BE...molding the clay, YOU AND I...in to His image. If not, then why? Are there behaviors that we are not willing to rid ourselves of, or let go of? Are these things more important to us, than being CONFORMED...TO THE IMAGE OF HE WHO LOVES US? The Bible says, we are TRANSFORMED...by the renewal of our minds. That comes in and thru reading and meditating, on Gods Word. If we aren't reading it, and studying it, and that daily, we're NOT...going to be CHANGED..by it. Prayer! Prayer is our relationship, its' our communication, our life line, not our when i'm in trouble call 1-800- God help me...LINE. LOL To be changed, to be molded, we've got to have a lifestyle...of DAILY, prayer. Its all about being IN HIS PRESENCE...to be MADE IN TO...HIS IMAGE! It won't happen any other way. It can't. God help me, to draw closer to you, and you've promised in return to come closer to me! Neat the way that works...IF I>>>THEN YOU! I want to be more made in to His awesome image! I'm not STAYING...the way I am! We ALL...need changed, and that daily! Are you...CHANGING? Is it change more like THIS OLE WORLD...OR JESUS??? For THAT...is the question...we are either BEING CONFORMED BY HIM, OR THIS WORLD....Which one is changing YOU??? I want to be changed, in to the image of my Lord! I'm trying, not tomorrow, TODAY! I'm starting, not tomorrow, but TODAY! Won't you...too...draw near? Blessings, n love! you can make it! Camping in Bemis WV!

The campground in Bemis WV is run by Ronald White. He and his wife Margaret have a campground for campers to come and stay, located in lovely Bemis! He began this family run campground, w/ his wife, here himself in the early 80's. His daughter, Rhonda, and her husband Tim, are a constant work, help and support at the campground too, as well as running and maintaining, the rental cabin, on site. Bemis had no campers back when it began, till now probably at least a hundred! (If not more!) Ronald is quite an amazing person, and everyone in the surrounding areas know, or have heard of him! He'd do anything for anyone. Bemis is Quaint, Quiet, and full of Gods hand! Its simply gorgeous! Recently, thanks to Gods hand, we have a camp here now too! The whole point is the area! The getaway is sooo beautiful!! My husband and I went this weekend, to stay the weekend, and next weekend, we're going again, w/ our boys! There is the Cheat River, close enough to throw a stone, from our camper! This river is a scenic river, and quite the challenge for the fisherman! I have caught a few, and Rick has caught a "few" more! Trout is the catch of the day. There are natives, or brook, browns, rainbow, and even a golden or few! Some folks kayak this river. Some folks come in to this area, by rail. The Tygart Flyer railroad takes you from Elkins WV up to the High Falls of Cheat, which passes daily, right here in little Bemis! I can't explain with words, because they don't do this beauty justice, just how pretty this little town is! You won't find internet, or have cell service, but, if you're looking to get away from it all...this is simply Gods creativity at its finest!! I'm so thankful for the weekend we shared! I had a blast! Walked, hiked, rode four wheelers, fished, and sat by the campfire! All the campers have a pot luck on Saturdays and Sundays, and talk about some good ole home cookin!! I'm sooo thankful! To top it all of, Uncle Ronald, wants ME....to preach ev. other week, at his church, a real church in the valley...in Bemis WV...to hold services for the campers and locals!! This church, Bemis Community Church was built in 1903 by the Rumbarger family. It is one of the main buildings built early on in Bemis. That and the school house, and Calvins store/watering hole. Camping and sharing God! Beauty in Bemis WV! I know many more fun times are ahead for us! The area is full of beauty and history! Its early timbering roots are well seen, in the large forests all around the area! The bridge that leads in and out, is a swimming hole and famous place to jump and swim, for the younger, (Or more daring older! LOL) Its not uncommon, for a black bear to wander in wanting a part of a campground meal! White tail deer, try to eat in Ron's garden he plants in the camp. It is a lovely place to visit, or sit and stay a while!! Whether by rail or hiking, or car, I highly recommend the visit!

Honey and Uncle Ronald, lookin over the campground...How could it get more peaceful???

Getting things ready to camp this weekend. No, its not brand new...but it is to us!! It was a gift...FREE! An 80's model, yet great shape! We have it at a campground not far, but far enough to "get away" from it all! Gods beauty, and fishing, in the rivers! Its a gorgeous area, Bemis WV! This weekend, we will pack up and head over, to stay the weekend! I'm soo excited! Gods blessing is so neat, that He even blesses us with things to be able to go rest, relax and have fun together ...as a family...what better way, than a weekend, of camping! Thanks Lord! I've posted a few pics of the area, the waterfalls, the fishing! And, I'll share a few more after this weekend! If you get a chance...to camp w/ your family, its such a great time! Don't miss out on the opportunities, that cost us little, but give us much back in return!

Now...fishing poles, check, sleeping bags and pillows, check...CURLING IRON...nah, prolly won't need that this weekend. LOL Fun fun!! Can't wait! Bible, guitar...ahh, me and the hubby and the Lord!

More than LIFE!

Oh the beauty of His creation! How can people worship it...more than..HE WHO MADE...it!?? A WV waterfall...sings His praises!

More than Life, Lord I love you! This is one of my favorite Hillsong, songs! If I could possibly pick...a favorite of theirs! I can worship to all of them! I turn this on, and get lost thinking of the Lord and how very much I appreciate all he does and has done...in MY LIFE! I can't help but singing along Lord I love you...More than life! Take this whole world...but give me Jesus! I couldn't make it a day, without his love, his mercy, his hand...on my life! I'm sooo blessed, and so humbled in thanksgiving! God is truly so very good. I can never count, nor repay, all that I owe! My heart seems to well, with thoughts, of how my devotion toward him, grows, as my love grows! The word, prayer, all of these things, that we do in our relationship with the Lord, only draw us closer...TO...the Lord!! The neat thing is, the closer we draw, He draws in to us as well! I am a FRIEND...of the Most High, the ONLY, the ONE TRUE...GOD!! Can you imagine, friendship, with the creator of the universe, let alone ME! Can you imagine, chatting daily, friend to friend, with the one who Saved...your soul!!?? I CAN'T imagine...A DAY...without the Lord! Better is ONE DAY..in His awesome presence...THAN A THOUSAND ELSEWHERE! My heart pants, for the time I get with him, like a longing! Tonite, we have Wednesday night church service, and I'm glad! I'm thankful to get to gather together with other believers, and be taught the unchanging Word of the living God! and to ...BE CHANGED....BY THAT!! Oh I love HIM...MORE..than...LIFE!! Blessings, spend some quiet time, some you and Him time, and you'll be amazed, how you will long for more of that!

I feel sometimes, like the apostle Paul, who said, "The things I want to do, I (at times) do not do." The Bible says, "By their fruits...ye shall KNOW THEM." The Bible says, that we are to be TRANSFORMED by His Word! We cannot live and stay as we are!! WE need to be changing daily more and more in to the image of our Lord! When we are saved, we are changed. The Word says in 2 Cor 5:17, that old things pass away...BEHOLD...ALL THINGS...are MADE..new! We are being made. We're a work in progress. Not there yet folks, but on my way! That's one reason I chose the name Faith to Faith a journey. By Faith we are saved...and it's that same faith in our lives that brings growth and draws us daily, till we reach Heaven, our home...someday! Some folks, even Christians sadly at times, say, well, God knows who I am, and accepts me as such. Well, you see, Christ accepts all as they are, at the point of Salvation. But, after that, change should be occurring daily in our lives! We should be striving to daily be transformed more and more in to the image of the Savior! What do others see...in me? Patience, kindness, overcoming, love? Are these fruits growing in me? You see, we all, produce fruit in our lives. Some good, some not so good. But, if not so good, it needs to be, well, done away with, and better fruit/s produced. But how then? How do we do so in our christian walk? Well, as Romans says in chptr. 12, the Word...transforms..the life of the believer. As I read it, I find what i need to do and what I need to do better as a believer. I cannot just look at the things in my life, that don't add up with Christ, and let them remain. The Bible says, the Father will PRUNE...us to bring forth more. Pruning may be painful, but boy is it necessary. It also says, that if we never...produce fruit/s...in our walk, or lives, that the Father...will EVENTUALLY...CLIP OFF...any that are not producing! A thought, that, keeps me striving for excellence, in my walk with the Lord. I don't want to be a fake, or a hypocrite! I want my light to shine for the Lord! But in order to do that daily, it takes work, and willingness, and perseverance!! We cannot and must not...give up, or give in! Don't grow weary in well doing, for in DUE season, you will reap, if you don't give up! The Holy Spirit will show you what things in your life, need work. It is when he convicts us, that we in turn, thru the knowledge of the word, must do what needs done, to improve! Conviction...must bring change REMAIN...as they are...are not following the Word, plain and simple. Jesus Himself, even said, GO...(changed)...and SIN NO MORE. You see, we cannot...hang on to or play with things, and think, its ok. Sin will hold us back, slow us down, and can even hold us OUT...of Heaven, if we are not careful!! Don't take things lightly! If I were to hold up a Spiritual mirror to myself, I'd hope, I'd see the image of Christ. I hope, he shines thru my face! Thats what I'm working towards...remember, work in progress. The point, is striving...to perfection. Don't accept sins, cause our Lord, sure doesn't. He said, Be ye holy, as I am holy. He...is our example. Life today, has plenty of allures, and draws...its temptations and such, are plenty! But, if we are believers in the word and prayer daily...sin, will not feel "comfy" in our lives! Not even for a moment! Jesus is coming soon...and that for a bride, pure, w/out spot or wrinkle! Transformation is a daily process, from being in the Word of God. Are your clothes ironed, should He return today? If not, don't feel like you can't get ready. There is still time. But, don't put it off. For He WILL come, Like a thief in the night, and only those ready, will meet Him...in the air! Lord, I pray, that I am daily sensitive to your Holy Spirit as He talks to me. I pray that I hate sin...as YOU DO, Lord! I pray that I am being TRANSFORMED DAILY! Blessings, on the journey, and remember, I'm prayin and pulln for you! None...of us are perfect...the point is the striving...don't GIVE UP!! :)

God does accept us as we are, but never expects us to STAY...as we were! We are called NEW CREATURES...In Christ....thru Christ! God called us OUT...of this world, to come out...from among them! God never wanted Christians to be like the world. Romans 12: 1 n 2 say that we are NOT...to be conformed to this ole world and its standards and ways of living....but to be TRANSFORMED..by the renewal of our minds. Which we accomplish in Gods Word! Theses folks claim we are not being TOLERANT...of say, like homosexuals and such. (Just an example). And again, God never called us to tolerate..the sin...the sinner comes in and the change is to begin...from there. In their lives. Change MUST...occur to be real. I even found this one church called REVOLUTION Church...and they say, if you are "fed up" with the so called norm called Christianity, the t shirt wearing christians, and they even cuss on this site". wow, it made my head spin. I found it actually thru my face book site. I am always amazed what arises in the name of Christianity. The Bible said the last days, would bring forth PLENTY...like this. Who claim...but don't prove it by their works. In their case...they sure don't even prove it by their talk. Let alone their walk. Christians, we need to be on our toes. Especially in ...the last days. Those will come claiming Christ, and claiming that the body of Christ isn't living up to its par...and all the mean while...they...are the ones NOT...living up to standard. we need to be ware! Don't be fooled by wolves...wearing sheeps clothes!! Be discerning. Use...wisdom, pray, seek the Lord and watch the Word of God...ask yourself...Does this line up...w/ the Word?? Remember if its not different, than this world...its NOT...of God. He is totally OTHER...than this world. Blessings, be real. Be a real Christian. Don't just wear the T's...live em!! blessings...it's not always easy. But this ole world is watchin us!! blessings!! shine...make em wonder what you've got, make em wish that they were not...on the outside lookin in...newsboys!! :)

There are no small workers, in Gods kingdom! There are no small or smaller...parts to be played, for altogether, we are all parts of the body of Christ! The eye, needs the ear, needs the foot, needs the hand....we all...need each other!! Its so cool, that God united us that way!! I just got done baking a cake, for the fam! Can you smell it?? A yellow cake, with chocolate icing! MMMM! But, when I was mixing up the ingredients, you know, I needed each one the same...to make the cake...well, SPECIAL! I couldn't say, well, this ole dash of salt, or this ole flour, or this ole baking soda...who needs it? NO! I needed them all...together, and all..the same! I can do some things well, and other things...well...I'd better not! LOL Singing? well, some folks, should definitely not. LOL But others...wow! Its the same, with all...of our God given gifts! We each have our niches! Our special talents. Our places where we really shine! Now I know, I could never go outside and even know where...to put the oil in my car! But my hubby, he could re build me one! LOL And taking down a giant tree...my husband can do that, and make it seem, like he was cutting someones hair, from 100 feet in the air! NOT I! I'm made for the ground! He just knows what to do, and how to do it, and swings, from branch to branch, with chain saw in hand, like no body's business! Makes me a nervous wreck...but, not him! Its his niches! Pray...the big lug, can pray up a storm! Or pray one away! But, he says, he'd never be able to speak in front of a group/or bunch...of people...me? It doesn't bother me at all...when God gives something into my heart, I don't mind sharing it, to any number of folks. You...are so special to God. He didn't make any one of us more important , than another. We are all...so very necessary and important! My dear friend Kelly, she can sing like a bird, heavenly! And plays piano, naturally! Me? I'd better stick to strummin my guitar! And the singing part, for some reason, way more than the preaching, gives my tummy the jitters! She...is just the opposite! LOL Isn't it funny? How that all works out. For I am fearfully...and WONDERFULLY MADE..BY GOD HIMSELF! And God isn't peddling any junk wares! Da Vinci painted but one, Mona Lisa, and Bethoven, one fifth symphony, and God...well God made YOU! Don't underestimate...what he's planted in YOU..to do.

Being a mom....is one of the greatest blessings I've had in this life!! My sons are such a blessing in my life!! I remember so dearly and just like it just happened, them being little, and in my arms!! Now, they are grown, well for the most part! I have loved every minute of mother hood...well...for the most part. LOL nah, I've loved it all!! My boys, both Godly young men, are my every day's joy!! I couldn't make it w/ out knowing they serve the Lord! I'm richer daily because of their love toward me! Their is nothing...like a boys love for his momma!! I MEAN NOTHING! My mom, was always...I say, was , I mean, growing up, a servant. She gave, always. (Still a giver) She loved to cook for as many as she could! Loved to entertain! Now I am...the same! I love to cook, and bake, and take care of my hubby and sons!! Gods gifts to my life! My husband has shown my boys how to be men. I'm thankful! May God ever watch over my family, even when my eyes cannot ....and my arms cannot, may you always hover over and protect them! I am soooo blessed....to be a mom! Covered Bridges...A piece of American History!

This one is located in Mingo Creek Park, Washington County, PA. The other one, the white bridge, is in Phillipi WV

The Philippi covered bridge was the site of the first land conflict of the Civil War. It is the oldest and longest covered bridge still existing in West Virginia. It is one of two remaining in Barbour County. The Philippi bridge has been severely damaged at least 7 times by large, heavy trucks, floods and fire. After a fire very nearly destroyed the bridge in 1989, it was reconstructed to closely resemble its original appearance and reopened to traffic in 1991. This bridge is the only one of its kind on the federal highway system.

Don't you just love these parts of our History! I just love covered bridges, and taking pics of them as well!! If you get a chance, go visit one, or some...and enjoy the lovely surrounding area's as well! Blessings!

In Pa., there are over 197 covered bridges!

Nearly 14000 authentic wooden covered bridges once existed in our Nation. Today less than 900 remain. Time and technology took its toll on the bridges until recent years when Federal grants came available for states to restore and rebuild many of the historic structures. Many of covered bridges are being destroyed by Nature and at the hands of arsonist plus those that were on the verge of collapse.

Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Vermont have a combined total of over 550 authentic covered bridges with Pennsylvania leading with over 197. Many of the covered bridges still standing are over 150 years old.

mom n dad...PAP!

Our memories, are the most comforting thing we can cling to, sometimes, after the loss of a loved one. My husbands dad, (who I also lovingly called dad!), passed away, this past February. He'd been diagnosed about 7 years ago, with Colon Cancer. He'd went through surgery removing a large part of his colon. The doctor, at that time, felt like he'd gotten all of the disease. This past year, it returned, and that with a vengeance. After finally convincing dad to see a doctor again, with new problems arising, the diagnosis was grim, to say the least. The doctor said, it had now re appeared and that through out many new places. It now covered his colon, back, spine, lungs, brain, and even spots on his face. It seemed like the disease was everywhere. Years back, he'd opted not to have chemotherapy after his colon surgery. No telling for sure, if that would have entirely eradicated the disease or not. But, after thinking about it, dad chose not to go that route. Now, we were facing this disease again, and with him. Five boys, and mom, and all the wives in law, we all gathered close, to help out at a time of family crisis. Dad loved the Lord, always did. His faith, was what he'd relied on for strength. He'd pray, ask for prayers, and turn on the Gaithers on TV, to watch the singing and gain more strength. He'd always say, I trust the Lord. And it showed. As this disease, so quickly progressed this time, we all had to help mom out. He was in and out of the hospital many times, and, as it grew nearer to the end, the doctor told the family, that they were basically just keeping him pain free. There was nothing medically more they could do, it had just gone too far this time. It was a time, where we all had a part to play, in helping dad to stay at his own home, and keep comforted. We fed him, and stayed right in the living room, with him day...and night. All of us, taking turns relieving each other, for the next shift. We'd sit up nights, and talk, just so he knew, someone was there, gave him peace. It was so hard, seeing him suffer, feeling helpless, and wanting to take his pain. Dad lived a full life. He'd lived a good life. Dad was definitely blessed of the Lord, during his life. He loved fishing, hunting, worked hard, and loved his family dearly. It was dad, who planned family get together and picnics, and parties. He loved having us close. He loved the family around. When he'd gotten to the very end, a hospital bed was brought into the living room, so he could watch TV, and look out the large picture window. He only stayed in that bed, for three days. We were all around him, the entire family, when he'd passed. We all gathered round the bed, holding his hands, and telling him how much he was loved. We prayed him home with the Lord that night. And watched him go...from life to life everlasting. I believe with all my heart, the Angels carried him home that night. The comfort, comes in knowing as a Christian, we'll be with him again someday. That night was not the end, but he's waiting for us all. He's resting high on the mountain, waiting for the family for dinnertime again. I can't wait to see him, I know, he'll want to feed us, he always did! This song, I've tagged, was played on tape, at his funeral. I can see him waiting for us, and the song gives me warm thoughts of that. My husband misses his dad dearly, and I've not yet, crossed that bridge. But I know, that for him too, peace is knowing, that dads waiting...on the other side, for all of us to gather round him again, as a family. Memories are better knowing, its not the end. Blessings. We definitely need to be praying for those...in authority! Obama is doing everything he can to uphold provisions for every other type of religion...or ANTI religion so that THEY...are not offended! But, he does NOTHING to uphold Christianity...even trying to say that this Nation is NOT a Christian or Christian based...Nation! Its to me, such a travesty! If you read the Kings in the Bible, every King that was Anti God, in the word, faced many judgements of God! And then it would say...they did what was right in their own eyes. Or else it would say, he walked according the sins of his father, and had turned aside from what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Or, he did EVIL, in the sight of the Lord...or finally, HE DID...what was right in the eyes of the Lord. ONLY UNDER SUCH LEADERS...was the entire NATION...blessed under that good and right leadership. It was under the other types of leaders...THAT THE NATION AS A WHOLE SUFFERED AS WELL!! We need to rebuke the spirit of Antichrist. for sure! It is a shame, how this president, will uphold the muslims in their celebrations and such and yet, Christians, are walked on! I see it as constantly singling out the Christians! This NATION is/was...founded...ONE NATION UNDER GOD. The God...the ONE TRUE GOD. We need to stand AGAINST things like this when we DO...actually have a voice to do so...BEFORE THAT IS STRIPPED AWAY AS WELL!! God help this Nation in the direction it is going!! In Heavens Gates and Hells flames, I'm a secretary w/ another woman, on our way out of a burning building, and we decide to take the elevator. To our fate! Heavens Gates portrays several scenes like this...of an end coming to our lives, and how you just never know....It all makes you to realize, how our lives, like the Bible says, are like a breath! Its amazing!! We all need to realize!! that our lives need to be lived with ETERNITY...in our minds! I'd never live to myself, I can't imagine living life without the Lord! Life, here, on this earth, is just temporal! This...is not what we're living for! We are here. to make choices...FOR OUR ETERNITIES! You just never know, so...you LIVE PREPARED!! If people see anything thru this enactment, it shows how people, sometimes think, they can wait till the end, and then plead their cause at the throne...it just will NOT...work that way! We must make Eternal choices now!! Romans 10:9,10 says, to confess w/. your mouth the Lord Jesus christ, and in your heart believe that God raised Him from the dead, and thou shalt be saved!! And, I might add...do it NOW! For you are not promised TOMORROWS!! Make plans for your eternity while you can. I've never understood, while people make plans for vacations and such, and they leave their ETERNAL lives as something that they can take care of another time!!! ITs ridiculous to me!! I've been so honored to have a part in this reality production! Yet another way of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I pray that as we present it again tonite, that even more lives will take account of their eternities! Before...its too late!! We've seen almost 100 souls saved in two nites, and over 700 people in our church in the past two days! God is sooo good! Plan now...for your eternity!! Don';t wait...tomorrow could be too late!

We are putting on Heavens Gates and Hells flames production three nights at our church! I'm so thankful to be a part of this wonderful ministry! I say ministry, for it is just that, way more than a production. We are doing it, performing this enactment, of epic proportions w/ the prayers of seeing 200 saved!!! It is such a great play/production! If you ever have the opportunity, SEE it!! It is a life changer. With its different scenes, it shows us that heaven and hell are real...and the choice is ours, of which we will go to. Well...off to study...and pray!! Annointing is more needed than ability, and I'm countin on the Lord!! Lord send the souls to see this and change lives thru this!! Blessings all...off to run lines!! We have spent the past couple days together fishing!! Just me and my honey! Its so pretty to just get away, spend a day, in Gods beauty! I fish, then take pictures. HE FISHES. LOL We have fun...TOGETHER! Why not spend a day, with the ones you love? while you can. No better way to do that...than do something that takes no cost...just enjoy!! Fishing, hunting, hiking, camping...all great ways, to get away, together as families! WV has so much beauty to offer...a few of my pics I took were our nite at Cheat river on Cheat MT. fishin, some others, were Bemis WV fishing the lower falls. All GORGEOUS! Spring has Sprung, and is alive with freshness, new life, and beauty! The trout, well some are stocked, some are natives, (those are the pretty ones) some rainbow, some golden beauties! The natives are the trickier, smaller ones! A little harder to catch, but with some tryin, you might just get one! I think folks ought to spend more times doing things outside in nature, breathing the beauty that God has given us!! Enjoying each other and whats around us!! The Bible says...we WALK...by faith...not by sight. Just think, we are walkin! Every day, of our lives, we walk, to get...from here...to there...and we do so, BY FAITH! I can't see ...always where I'm headin, but HE CAN! I can't see...all that I will need when I get there...BUT HE CAN!! I don't fear, because, HE sees, what I CAN"T!! Faith is a journey, not a place. We don't ARRIVE...we travel! We will always face other mountains and mole hills, that we have to go over and or...around. BY FAITH! The journey isn't always smooth. It isn't always...EASY. And so I hold the MASTERS HAND!! I know, I CAN DO ALL THINGS...thru HIM. Phil 4:13 It says in the VOICE translation of the NT, I can be CONTENT...in ANY...circumstance or situation, thru the ONE...who is...my power and my strength!! The Lord, Jesus is!! I'm not there yet, and I'm not givin up or givin in...ON THE WAY!! Heaven...is my home and my destination! This...is not where I'm goin! Because He lives...Easters message...I can too!! So I walk on!! My days, as a mom, as a wife, they are NOT...easy, or all planned out. Are yours??? If so, I want your map. LOL Nah, none of our days are easy. But, we can have peace....joy...faith, on the journey! And I DO! I'm so happy I have the Lord in my life! I couldn't make it a day without Him!! So I walk on!! Don't give up friends, though its hard...don't give in, there's better ahead!! I want to hear...well done...you've MADE IT THRU!! when I reach my home/HEAVEN! Blessings, on the journey!! Total reliance Under Stress and Trials...thats the time, when its easiest to NOT...trust. Or to NOT trust...FULLY! In the trial, under the stress....ok, Lord, I trust...but. No I trust...PERIOD! Day by day, he brings me thru...day by day, my trusts in YOU! I trust you Lord! I'm holding your hand....as I walk in to ...Your perfect will and plan! Blessings on the journey today of Faith. Trust Him, and don't just say you will...but shudder at the scene ahead! For what ever lies...ahead...God is holding you...are you...holding on to Him??? MY BOOK REVIEW...THE VOICE- NEW TESTAMENT BIBLE!

My Bible of choice has been for some time now, the Amplified Version of the Bible, but my recent reading of the Voice New Testament by Thomas Nelson Publishers, has brought a fresh perspective to my thinking. It reads like the telling of a story…Gods story! I love to write poetry, and so was drawn intensely to the flow and the down to earth language of this book. It gives a clear portrayal of God’s Word, brought to our day and time. I might not recommend this version as a study Bible, although, I would say it would be a great addition to your night stand as a devotional type Bible! It refers throughout, to Christ, as the “Liberating King”. A title that is so true for the Believer, it reminds you continually of your freedom won thru Christ! I love its freshness and screenplay format, and layout! I think it would bring an enjoyment to any young believer and an excitement to the seasoned as well! It is understandable, in my opinion to any generation of reader. In spite of it being easy to read and understand, I am amazed at the fact that 21 noted scholars and writers have put this version so well balanced theologically as well! It is factual, faithful, and graceful version of the Word of God. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I give the Voice New Testament 5 stars! Thomas Nelson gave me a copy of this version for the purpose of my review.

NAOMA, W.Va. — Rescue workers ran into difficulties Tuesday, clearing steep hillsides over the section of a coal mine where four missing miners may be after an explosion killed 25 men in the worst mine disaster since 1984.

Crews had to bulldoze an access road before they could begin the dangerous attempt to drill the first of three bore holes into the coal mine to search for survivors. By Tuesday afternoon, workers planned to drill a fourth hole, said Kevin Stricklin, an administrator with the federal Mine Safety and Health Administration.

West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin, a Democrat, said it might not be until Wednesday night before the first breakthrough.

These folks need our covering of prayers as a Nation! It tells us all of how very precious life is! Our families, our loved ones, we need to cover them daily, and pray the precious blood covering of Jesus over them! Life, the Bible says, is described as, but a breath. We are here today. As a family in WV this hits home for us too! My grandfather was a coal miner all of his life. (Though he was from PA.) Our neighbor, a retired coal miner/preacher. Our Pastors wife's father,was killed in a coal mine accident, years ago. It hits many WV families, close to home. Just a few years ago, was the Sago mining accident, here in WV. It is definitely a time to bind together and pray. I cover my family daily. I believe in praying before...crisis strikes. I see God in our lives, as more than just a go to in the time of need/s. But this...is definitely a cry for prayer, for all these families who are being directly affected by this tragedy! Imagine if it were your family. You'd need folks lifting up your weary arms in prayers. Blessings, to all those and a cry out to others...LETS ALL PRAY.

Spring Break!

Its fun being a teacher, for the sake...of the breaks! LOL Nah, but I do enjoy them! One week, all this week! Time to well, I'd say relax, but really, time to do some much needed Spring Cleaning. No better time, than time off to do cleaning up and such...I know the kids were excited about their week off. But, I'm not too ashamed to admit, that their teacher is excited too!! Today, was my hubbys first day...of no work. Friday, was his last day...of his job. Permanent, lay off. God knows, HE...is not taken off guard. HE KNEW...before we were here. So, I'm trusting. You Lord. David must have felt so under dressed, meeting Goliath, with no shield, no sword, and no armor. Five stones Lord, I'm trusting you! Goliath looks large, but I'm trusting YOU! I'm going to clean this week, yes relax some, fish with the hubby, AND TRUST YOU LORD! Knowing...I'm growing...while this ...is goin on! Spring Break....time to trust, relax, Spring clean, fish....AND KILL GOLIATH! By faith! You're goin down! Jesus said, if you SAY...to this mountain...(whichever mountain that may be)...be thou removed, and shall not doubt...you shall HAVE..what things so ever...YOU SAITH! I say, my husband, will have a new job, a better job...and we will relax...and trust...until we get there...from HERE. I say...I trust you Lord! To build my faith more! I can't believe, how Peter, the apostle who followed Jesus ever so closely, went to following from afar, and even denial! I am amazed how all of our lives, at one time or another, seem to gravitate toward this position. We say, I'd never leave your side Jesus, and then the going gets rough and we say, Jesus who? Jesus some verses earlier, before Peter denied Him, says to Him...whom do you say that I am, Peter? He said, you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!! Jesus asked Mary, she said, well, I know Lord that we will rise again SOME DAY...He said...THIS DAY....I AM...THE Resurrection....and...THE LIFE!! NOW...today...who do YOU...say that HE is???? Jesus, the risen one...the Son...of the living God!! He is...the Resurrection...and the LIFE!! We must come to Him and BELIEVE...THAT HE REALLY IS...AND THAT HE REWARDS THOSE...WHO SEEK AFTER HIM AS SUCH!! I BELIEVE!! HE IS!! I am soo thankful for the Power of the Resurrection!! That because He lives, we too can live!! And...He even said further, I am come that Ye might have life, and not just have life, folks, no way...he said, and HAVE IT MORE...ABUNDANTLY!! Now that...my friends...IS LIVING!! Friday, he was crucified...BUT SUNDAY IS A COMIN! WHEN HE ROSE AND TODAY...HE IS...RISEN!! HE IS...ALIVE!! AND HE WANTS YOU TO LIVE ALSO!! BELIEVE, THAT HE IS, WHO HE SAYS...Whom do YOU...say that HE...is????? Blessings this Good Friday!!

I appreciate so much the cross, and what Christ did for me on Calvary! I am soo thankful for Easter, and that He arose! Since he did, that is the power...of our salvation!! None other can say, they've risen!! What a Savior is ours!! Whom do YOU...say that He is??? Savior, risen King??? He is, that and so much more...He is...I AM!! That covers all..that we have need of in our lives!! Salvation, healing, peace, joy, life...light!!! He is the word, the living word!! Easter is such a wondrous day of celebration!!! Up from the grave he arose, w/ a MIGHTY..triumph o'er his FOES!! Because he lives...WE CAN NOW TOO!! I serve a risen savior He's in this world today..i know that he is living, what ever men may say...I see His hand of Mercy, I hear His voice of cheer...and just the time I need Him...HE'S ALWAYS...NEAR!!
